Green Tea (decaffeinated)

greenteaGreen Tea (decaffeinated)

Origins: Asia

(Camellia sinensis)

Originating in China, the amazing health benefits

from green tea have been known for centuries. One

of the reasons for such amazing health benefits is a

result of the way it is processed.

• Unlike other tea’s, during processing green tea is

not oxidized. The leaves are withered and steamed

immediately after harvesting. Once steamed, the

leaves are then rolled and dried allowing the leaves

to remain green in color. This process allows green

tea’s unique antioxidants to be more concentrated

• Green tea leaves are rich in antioxidants, in particular

for their epigallocatechin gallate (ECGC)

content. These critical nutrients play key roles in

healthy aging by sustaining cardiovascular health

and cognitive function

• The polypheholic catechins found in green tea are

known to be stronger than vitamin E fighting free

radicals
